The Alpha Pregnancy Center is a pro-life Christian ministry encompassing:
1) The Alpha Parenting Center, which teaches parenting skills to young families.
2) My Choice Clinic, the medical clinic providing ultrasound and education about options to abortion-vulnerable pregnant women.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The executive director of the Alpha Center has full responsibility for the Alpha Pregnancy Center ministry, which includes the implementation of the policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors within the parameters of the pregnancy center’s budget. This is a permanent, part-time position of 20 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with experience.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The executive director is responsible for the administrative, development and community relations/public relations aspects of this ministry.
Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a related field, or related experience equivalent.
Two years of experience as a volunteer or employee in ministry. Two years of experience in an administrative position with direct experience in supervising paid staff in an efficient and professional office. Two years of experience in marketing, fundraising, and/or public relations/development.
Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and sexual purity. Exhibit strong skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing and effective media relations.Be able to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the center. Be able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
Must have strong interpersonal and management skills, be able to coordinate annual budgeting, oversee the financial aspects of the ministry, conduct staff meetings, maintain policy and procedure manuals and oversee the donor management program.
